Assassin’s Creed Mirage hit PlayStation, Xbox and PC last week and critics and fans alike are quite happy with the series’ return to its roots. Like Assassin’s Creed Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla, which features Bassim, Mirage is a shorter, more condensed adventure, unlike the open-world RPGs of the past. Now, roughly a week later, Ubisoft has revealed that Mirage’s player count has matched that of Origins and Odyssey. Plus, Mirage is Ubisoft’s biggest new-gen release in terms of sales.
Along with the news, Ubisoft revealed some fun stats about what Mirage players have accomplished in just six days:
- 479 collective years were spent erecting the roofs of Baghdad
- 60 Million Leaps of Faith
- 1.2 million stray cats are pets
“We are humbled by the positive reception, with player numbers in line with previous successful launches such as Assassin’s Creed Origins and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey,” a Ubisoft statement read. “We are proud to share that Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the biggest new-gen release in terms of unit sales to date at Ubisoft (PS5, Xbox Series X/S). For this achievement.”
