All Hinox locations (map) in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

Hinox are large, one-eyed giants in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and if you’re unprepared to face them—like I was the first time I ran into one—you’re in for a bad time. You must defeat them for their drops if you want to upgrade certain armor, though. Here are all the Hinox locations in Hyrule in TotK.

All Hinox in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom – exact map locations

While you can find some Hinox in the Depths, I find it easier to farm them in Hyrule because not only are there more of them, but you can also see way better. Visibility is crucial when defeating Hinox in Tears of the Kingdom because you need to shoot them in the eye to stun them, meaning precision is key.

These are all of the Hinox that I’ve found in the Hyrule overworld, marked on the map below:

All Hinox Monster Part drops in Tears of the Kingdom

Once you kill a Hinox, it will drop a selection of fruit, weapons, and Monster Parts. The Monster Parts are arguably the most crucial and why many players (including myself) want to farm Hinox in Tears of the Kingdom.

Here is all the possible Monster Part drops from Hinox:

  • Black Hinox Horn

  • Hinox Guts
  • Hinox Tooth

How to farm Hinox Toenails in TotK

Hinox Toenails are important because they allow you to upgrade the Fierce Deity armor set in Tears of the Kingdom. You’ll need 45 of them to upgrade the Fierce Deity Mask, Fierce Deity Armor, and Fierce Deity Boots once.

The best way to farm Hinox Toenails is by following the route I’ve laid out on the map above. Hinox can drop multiple Toenails upon defeat, meaning if you follow my route, you should earn around 50-60 of them in one run. To reset Hinox spawns, simply wait for a Blood Moon.
