7 little words: helpful advice

Read all the clues until you get to one that you feel you really know the answer to, then start looking to see if the first part of the answer is in the letters provided. After that, you can start working through the following guide and so on.

When you get stuck, choose to work on shorter answer clues (say 6 letters in length, usually 2 words together), and try taking the first set of possible answer letters and then adding the remaining options, one by one, until you feel like you’ve found something that clicks in your mind as a possibility . There is no harm in guessing, as the game is not timed and there is no penalty for guessing wrong.

Look for common prefixes and suffixes when you’re working on a longer answer (such as 9 letters). These can include prefixes such as: co, com, con, re, pre, and suffixes such as: ition, ity, er, ism, ant, age. There are also more than typical word endings like -er, -ly, and -ing.

Pay attention to the clue’s tense as well as whether it is looking for the plural of the answer, as this can help you narrow down your word-ending choices (so you can look for one that ends in D for the past tense, for example).
