Destiny 2’s Titan Class is seeing major ability changes in Season 21

Bungie is set to deliver an overhaul of its Titan class Destiny 2 season 21 To address the performance of roaming superheroes in higher level PvE content. This includes changes to the Arc, Solar and Stasis subclasses, with an increase in PvE damage and additional improvements.

In addition, Sentinel Shield, Hammer of Sol and Burning Maul will see slight damage increases to improve their usefulness in offensive situations. The Burning Maul also benefits from a quality of life change allowing the heavy attack hurricane to apply burn over time.

The new Strand’s damage type is still being evaluated, and Bungie plans to make tweaks to base cooldown times and address pain points noted since Lightfall launched. For Titans, the Frenzied Blade’s cooldown will be reduced based on the number of melee charges stored, with reductions ranging from 15% to 30%.

Bungie will also revisit the tuning changes for the Stasis subclasses from Chapters 14 and 15, focusing on abilities and aspects that have fallen behind in the current landscape. The quivering strike of the Titans will see an increase in maximum thrust in flight and a decrease in the downward effect of gravity. Howl of the Storm will benefit from a 31% increase in Freeze Cone rendering vs players.

In Season 21, the Light subclasses will be subject to a general adjustment pass. Shoulder charge abilities, such as Seismic Strike, Shield Bash, and Hammer Strike, will now cost 15% of your melee energy when activated. To compensate, the base dwell times were standardized at 91 seconds. Moreover, Knockout, Shield Throw, Throwing Hammer and Sunspots will receive modifications to improve usability.

Knockdown’s dash range will be reduced from 6.5m to 5.5m, while the bonus to uncharged PvE melee damage will be increased from 60% to 100%. Shield Throw’s base effect damage will increase from 60 to 70, with improved target tracking after bouncing. The hammer will now adjust its initial flight trajectory based on aim assist targets.

Finally, Sunbreakers’ Sunspots will see their damage per tick increase from 17 to 22, making them a safer haven for allies and encouraging enemies to keep their distance. These comprehensive updates promise to greatly improve the Titan class in Destiny 2 Season 21.
