The PC version of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was met with criticism due to significant performance issues during its launch. Many sources and players have reported significant frame rate drops in open areas and large battles. Those who experience these issues can try lowering their settings, restarting the game, updating the GPU drivers, and ensuring that their systems meet the minimum requirements for the game.
In response to these concerns, EA issued an apology on Twitterwhile acknowledging the problems players encountered:
“We realize that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor does not perform up to our standards for a percentage of our PC players, particularly those with high-end hardware or certain specific configurations.”
EA highlighted some examples of problematic configurations, such as high-end multi-threaded chipsets designed for Windows 11 running on Windows 10 and high-end GPUs paired with low-performance CPUs experiencing unexpected frame loss. The company has reassured players that it is working hard to address these issues.
“While there is no single end-to-end solution for PC performance, the team is working on fixes that we believe will improve performance across a range of configurations,” the statement continued.
EA emphasized its commitment to fixing these issues immediately, but also noted that each patch requires extensive testing to prevent the introduction of new issues. The company appreciated the players’ understanding and apologized for the inconvenience caused by these performance issues.
As EA continues to monitor performance across all platforms, updates on patch progress and timing will be shared with players as soon as they become available. It is hoped that these bugs will be resolved soon, allowing players to enjoy Star Wars Jedi: Survivor without any further disruptions.
