Epic Games Chief Creative Officer Donald Mustard is retiring this month after seven years with the company. He announced this on Twitter today, saying that after nearly 25 years in the games industry, he is retiring to spend time with his wife and family.
Most notably, Mustard served as Fortnite’s boss, responsible for its storytelling and creative decision-making as the battle royal behind the game. Epic Games has not announced who will take over the role after Mustard’s retirement, nor has it specified what the future of Fortnite will look like, although hundreds of people are working on it and everything will continue as usual.
