Developer miHoYo has announced the release date for Genshin Impact 3.7 update titled “Duel! Summoners Summit”. Scheduled for release on May 24, the update introduces many new elements to the world famous game.

The next update, as announced by miHoYo, will introduce the “King of Invokations Grand Prix” as the main event. It is an international tournament for TCG via Teyvat, and it attracts a large number of visitors, including card players, tourists and journalists from different countries. The tournament will also serve as the backdrop for the game’s new event story featuring a mysterious case investigated by Charlotte, a reporter from Fontaine working for the venerable newspaper The Steambird.

miHoYo is also incorporating over 60 brand new TCG cards into Genshin Impact, expanding the existing deck to bring more depth and strategy to the game’s TCG experience. Also introduced are two new modes, the player versus player “Arena of Champions” and “The Forge Realm’s Temper”, to provide players with more variety and flexibility in gameplay.

The update will also see the addition of a new playable character, Kirara, who is a four-star Dendro sword user. Kirara is Inazuma’s responsible courier, who uses her nekomata abilities for powerful transformations and attacks. Her primary skill allows her to create a Dendro shield, and her initial explosion produces a flurry of Dendro’s mini bombs. Kirara’s unique abilities make her a valuable addition to any player’s roster.

Another highlight of the upcoming update is the first glimpse of the country of Fontaine, which will be added to the game world in a future update. This tantalizing preview suggests new adventures and challenges await Genshin Impact players in the unexplored regions of Fontaine.

The update also features several experiments designed to test players’ fighting techniques and creativity. These include facing off against powerful enemies in “Feast of the Departed Warriors”, battles suspended in time in “Paths of Faiz: Premise”, and the ability to share custom spheres in “Divine Creation: Collector’s Branch”.

Genshin Impact is currently available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, PC through the client and the Epic Games Store, and on mobile devices via the App Store and Google Play. A Switch version of the game is also in the works.
