Gran Turismo 7 is getting its biggest update tomorrow in the form of Spec II (aka Update 1.40). The free content drop adds a new co-op mode, seven new cars, a fresh track and more.

Perhaps the biggest addition of the update is four-player local split-screen. Unfortunately for PS4 players, this option is only available on PS5. Speaking of PS5-only features, those players can enjoy taking on Gran Turismo Sophie, which developer Polyphony Digital describes as a “prototypical revolutionary racing AI agent.”

Spec II also adds a snowy Lake Louise track. Set in a Canadian ski resort, it comes in three variants: long track, short track and tri-oval. New Master License events are coming, and the update will also add quality-of-life features like a dashboard that tracks player progress.

Of course, new vehicles are always exciting, and here are seven joining the roster:

  • Dodge Charger R/T 426 Hemi ’68
  • Dodge Challenger SRT Demon ’18
  • Lexus LFA ’10
  • Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution II ’91
  • NISMO 400R ’95
  • Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992) ’22
  • Tesla Model 3 Performance ’23

Spec II adds minor additions like new cafe menus and new photo mode options, and you can read the full breakdown by reading Blog post On the Gran Turismo website. You can download the update on November 2nd. For more information on Gran Turismo 7, Check out our review.
