Honkai Star Rail’s Astral Express takes us into outer space for an adventure of a lifetime! But many of us have been hung up on the beautiful intro animation of a train departing, only to find out that the train kept departing and departing! The loop, as beautiful as it may be, kept going infinitely without actually starting the game, and after a couple of minutes, I was sure it was a bug. If you encounter the same situation in Honkai Star Rail, this guide is for you!
How to fix Honkai Star Rail stuck on the train loading screen
Unfortunately, there is currently no way to permanently fix the glitch that gets you stuck on the loading screen in Honkai Star Rail. The developers are yet to address this issue officially, which goes towards the argument that it may be connected to the server’s stress. But fear not; there are several things you can try to make the game run on your platform.
Shut Honkai Star Rail down and start it back up

While you’re stuck on the train loading screen, you can shut Honkai Star Rail down by following these simple steps:
- Press Ctrl+Alt+Del on your keyboard to open the Lock screen.
- Select Task Manager from the bottom of the list.
- In the Task Manager window, find Honkai Star Rail and select it.
- Press End Task in the bottom right corner to kill the process.
When you end the task, relaunch the game. After doing all these steps, the game should launch without any issues, and you should see the in-game menu soon after the train animation. Solving the problem this way worked fine for me, but your experience may vary.
Restart your router and your PC to solve the Honkai Star Rail train loading screen
Restarting your router and PC may help fix the train loading screen in Honkai Star Rail. A fresh restart is always a good idea to be sure you’re running an issue-free Windows session, and restarting your router will rid your connection of any potential errors that might have occurred.
If all else fails, you may attempt to reinstall the game completely. Reinstalling a game of this file size may not be the worst thing in the world, plus some gamers have reported this method to work for them, having no issues after doing so. In any case, we hope the HoYoverse will address this issue soon.
