How to complete The Land Beneath in WoW Dragonflight

World of Warcraft patch 10.1 has arrived and with it comes a bunch of new content for players to tackle. This all starts with The Land Beneath quest, but some players are finding out that things aren’t as simple as they might seem.

How to start The Land Beneath in World of Warcraft

The opening quest of the 10.1 patch is The Land Beneath, and players get started by heading to the Seat of the Aspects in Valdrakken. If you’ve done the Forbidden Reach questline, this will be easy to start, but players who skipped 10.0.7 will run into issues.

Luckily, the Forbidden Reach questline doesn’t take a long time to complete, and it can be knocked out in an hour or so if you just focus on doing it. Here’s a look at the quests that consists of.

  • Hidden Legacies
  • Return to the Reach
  • The Best We Have
  • Wings of Mercy
  • Inheritance
  • Stemming the Irontide
  • An Eclectric Accord
  • Creche Fallen
  • Aiding the Expedition
  • Emberthal Awaits
  • An Interdisciplinary Approach
  • Keeping the Flame at Bay
  • Chasing the Flame
  • A Creche Divided
  • Return to Viridia

Once all of that is finished, players can head on back to Valdrakken and start the 10.1 questline. There should be a main questline marker indicating where to go, and the game also pops up with a prompt saying there is new content.

How to finish The Land Beneath in WoW

As for finishing The Land Beneath quest, it’s quite simple as all you’ll have to do is follow the quest marker. This kicks off the Breaking Ground quest chain, which is one of the seven new chains added in the Embers of Neltharion update. It will eventually lead players underground to the new zone.

Once in the Zaralek Cavern, players will be able to fight new enemies, find the currency to upgrade gear, and collect new Dragonriding glyphs. There’s a lot to dive into even if Season 2 kicks off May 9, so players won’t want to miss out on some early exploration before that happens.
