2K and Marvel Entertainment have unveiled the imminent release of the fourth and final post-launch DLC for Marvel’s Midnight Suns, Bloodstorm, set for May 11, 2023. The game will be released simultaneously on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 as a digital-only demo. Unfortunately, the Nintendo Switch version will not be part of the updated release plans.
The Blood Storm DLC highlights the mighty mutant Storm and can be obtained either as a standalone purchase or as part of the Marvel’s Midnight Suns Season Pass included with the Legendary Edition. Each DLC pack introduces a new recruitable hero, a trio of new story missions, an Abbey upgrade, and a variety of new skins and outfits for the featured hero.
As one of the most powerful mutants on Earth, Ororo Monroe, better known as Storm, was orphaned at a young age. While traveling to her mother’s home in Kenya, she is greeted by a village priestess. And when their village faced a drought, Ororo’s increasing powers allowed her to summon much needed rain, to save her community.
Eventually, news of her weather-controlling abilities reached Charles Xavier, who recruited her into the X-Men. Adopting the name Storm, she becomes the leader of the team, using her mutant abilities to help people around the world. In Blood Storm, Storm encounters Magik while searching for a missing mutant child in New York along with Wolverine. Magic convinces her to join the Midnight Suns.
The Blood Storm DLC follows the release of three other DLC packs: The Good, the Bad, and the Undead; salvation; and hunger. Each installment introduces new heroes, story missions, monastery upgrades, and additional hero skins and outfits. For players who have successfully completed all of the DLC story missions featuring Deadpool, Venom, Morbius, and Storm, an epic final battle against a legendary monster awaits them.
