Microsoft Flight Simulator World Update 13 is now available

Microsoft Flight Simulator continues to thrill its users by incorporating gorgeous new landscapes with its latest Global Update 13. This expansion covers diverse regions of Oceania and Antarctica, including remote atolls, white sand beaches, towering volcanoes, uninhabited rainforests, and modern cities.

World Update 13 presents a total of 13 countries and 28 non-sovereign territories in Polynesia, Melanesia, the Galapagos Islands and the main regions of Antarctica, all based on the latest aerial imagery, satellite imagery and digital elevation modeling data. The update provides improved accuracy for pilots to explore stunning new vistas throughout these regions. For example, it includes an updated elevation field in Hawaii and features the city of Honolulu with dozens of handcrafted buildings.

In collaboration with Orbx, 150 Points of Interest (POIs) have been established across the region, featuring such landmarks as the Moai stones on Easter Island, Indonesia’s Autograph Tower, Antarctic Research Bases, and Point Venus Lighthouse in Tahiti. In addition, Orbx has designed more than a dozen airports to challenge even the most skilled (short takeoff and landing) pilots, including highland dirt airstrips in Papua New Guinea, Easter Island Mataveri International Airport, and Hawaii Kona International Airport.

To showcase the best of Oceania, Perfect Flight has developed eleven missions, including five expedition flights, three landing challenges and three tree tours. Pilots can soar through the mountains of West Maui, explore Tahiti, fly over Mauna Kea in Hawaii, and embark on a Central Java adventure, among other things.

Global Update 13: Oceania and Antarctica is available free of charge to all owners of Microsoft Flight Simulator. To experience the amazing detail of Oceania and Antarctica, be sure to update your simulator to the latest version and download World Update 13. The sky is calling!

Microsoft Flight Simulator is accessible on Xbox Series X | S, PCs with Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, Windows, Steam, Xbox One, supported mobile phones, tablets, and low-spec PCs via Xbox Cloud Gaming.
