An upcoming Minecraft map will allow players to have fun in the sandbox game as characters from the amazing show Avatar: The Last Airbender. It also looks like this DLC could also include other Avatars, including Korra.

You might actually be able to replicate aspects of the show with the best Minecraft mods, but these official DLCs are always packed with incredibly well-designed abilities, Minecraft skins, and specific maps too, so they’re well worth checking out. The most recent one we had was the Minecraft map soccer game, but since we’re nerds, Avatar is definitely more exciting in our opinion.

All we know about the map so far is that it will allow you to try and master air, earth, fire, and water, and that the image shows four of the Avatars together doubling down on their preferred element of choice. We also know that the Minecraft map will be released on December 6, which means we’ll likely get a bit more information shortly before then, and probably a trailer as well.

In terms of what you can expect, we imagine there will be a custom map with new mechanics based around learning how to do the various types of bending, along with puzzles and an adventure to suit that as well. As the ad shows four different Avatars, it is also possible that we take control of each of them and follow how they became legends.

We’d be surprised to learn that this Minecraft DLC is free, so expect to be able to shell out a bit of money to get it on the Minecraft Marketplace when it launches. Until then, we recommend watching Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra to get sucked into the story of both shows, and also because they’re excellent and should be watched by more people.
