Omega Strikers 2.0.2 Patch Notes: Balancing updates and bug fixes

[ad_1]

Odyssey Interactive has released a small patch (v2.0.2) for Omega Strikers that addresses balance issues and bugs in the game.

In terms of maps and modes, Night Market was considered to be more tame compared to the other maps, increasing the speed zone’s recharge time from 5 seconds to 4 seconds. This change will provide a faster experience for players.

Several Strikers have seen modifications to their abilities in this patch. Atlas’s astral projection cooldown has been increased from 7.5 seconds to 8 seconds, while Asher’s Pathsplitter ability has seen a decrease in base creation time from 2.25 seconds to 1.9 seconds and a decrease in minimum lightning strike duration from 0.3 seconds to 0.05 seconds.

Drek’ar received a bug fix for his Molten Bolt ability, and no longer gains creation benefits. Dubu’s Somerassault ability cooldown decreased from 20 seconds to 18 seconds and increased damage and PvP knockback. Increased cooldown on Era’s Magic Maelstrom from 15 seconds to 20 seconds, making a bad throw more punishing. Luna’s WHAMMY cooldown has been reduced from 7 seconds to 6.5 seconds, providing more opportunities for good strikes.

Kai’s Barrage ability saw a cooldown increase from 10 seconds to 11 seconds and a range reduction from 775 to 650. The Unstable Anomaly rune ability received an increase on full PvP knockout, while Rasmus’ Whiplash ability duration was increased from 2 seconds to 2.25 seconds.

The patch also includes updates to gear, especially Goalie Gear. Momentum Boots now have an increased throughput per group from 1.5% to 1.75% and a max speed of 22.5% instead of 20%. Pauldrons saw an increase in Strength from 15 to 20.

Finally, adjustments have been made to the Awakenings. Extra Special now has a 40% wait time reduction, up from 35%, and the reward for Monumentalist creations has been reduced from 20% to 15%.

the The full balance changes The various characters in the game are listed below.

attackers

atlas

  • Atlas can use Astral Projection to win trades frequently. This is a small touch – he will still win trades at the mentioned frequency, but he will pay a slightly higher cost for it.
  • Astral projection [PRIMARY]

point

  • Asher’s Special is very good at locking the bolt and creating forward pressure, due to how easy it is to hit. We’re working to reduce her effective range and staggering power to keep her more in line with other attackers.
  • track divider [SPECIAL]
    • Rule creation time: reduced from 2.25 to 1.9 seconds
    • Minimum Stun Duration: Reduced from 0.3 seconds to 0.05 seconds

drikkar

  • Fixes a Drek’ar bug that made his Molten Bolt last longer than intended, especially when he chose Cast to Last.
  • Molten Bolt [SPECIAL]
    • [BUGFIX] No longer gains CREATION BENEFITS for the ability

Dubbo

  • Our favorite Hamter is definitely a solid defender. Honestly though sometimes he wants to lash out. We give him more opportunities and rewards for turning his stomach on his enemies. (Like he did in the Trigger trailer!!!! He did the thing!)
  • Sumerasu [SECONDARY]
    • Cooldown 20 seconds → 18 seconds
    • Damage and PvP Knockback:: 200 (+100% Strength) → 210 (+105% Strength)

era

  • Magic Maelstrom (Era’s SPECIAL) was frequently and effectively blocking large parts of the map. We are extending the waiting period to make it more punishing when they have poor staff.
  • Storm magic [SPECIAL]
    • Cooldown: increased from 15 to 20 seconds

Luna

  • Luna’s WHAMMY (that’s her missile) is quite a tricky take, due to her short base range and acceleration time for a stronger hit. We’ll give Luna a little more chance of hunting for good hits by lowering her cooldown. And more chances for you to launch a random missile across the map for a free target.
  • WHAMMY [PRIMARY]
    • Cooldown:: Reduced from 7 seconds to 6.5 seconds

Kay

  • Kai can deny a lot of opportunities, so we’re demolishing the rapid-fire barrage’s speed and range a bit.
  • hail [PRIMARY]
    • Cooldown:: 10s → 11s
    • Range:: 775 → 650

Ron

  • Rune combinations are not as deadly as we would like. While he has plenty of tricks in his bag, KO’s bread and butter Banish to Unstable Anomaly should assure knockouts for players close to the edge of the arena.
  • Unstable anomaly [PRIMARY]
    • Full PvP Return:: 220 (+110% Strength) → 250 (+125% Strength)
    • Basic PvP and Knockback damage unchanged
    • Unformed damage has not changed
    • Also applies to the unstable anomaly left by Shadow Walk [SECONDARY]

Rasmus

  • We’re giving Rasmus more mobility and agency when he can use Whiplash. This must mean that he could do more than just unsuspecting Death Touch victims.
  • injury [SECONDARY]

Let’s go

Goalie Gear appears to be a throw in between Strike Shot and Eject Button. We give the other options a little love to make them do what they do… only better.

  • Momentum shoes
    • Movement speed per stack:: 1.5% → 1.75%
    • Maximum speed:: 20% → 22.5%
  • pauldrons

vigilance

  • extra special
    • Reduce Special Cooldown:: 35% → 40%
  • Monumentalist
    • Creativity hit bonus:: 20% → 15%
