Operation Tango is coming to Switch on August 1st

Clever Plays to release cooperative spy adventure game Operation: Tango for Switch via Nintendo eShop on August 1 for $19.99, the developer announced.

Operation: Tango First released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store June 1, 2021.

Here’s an overview of the game, via Clever Plays:

Operation: Tango The game plays out much like a virtual escape room, with players pairing up in the process. One player takes on the role of Angel, the “field agent,” while the other plays as Alistair, the “hacker.” Playing from separate devices, each player enjoys a unique experience. The pair must work together, in constant verbal contact and bonding in an augmented, fully connected, highly stylized world to solve puzzles and complete each high-stakes mission.

The game takes its motto, “It takes two to save the world,” to heart, as only by sharing each role’s viewpoints can players overcome the many challenges that stand between them and complete each mission. The resulting experience is more akin to an in-person game night or team-up challenge. The Switch version features reimagined puzzle solutions and all previously released additional content.

Players hosting a game can invite a friend to join them for free through their gaming platform, where applicable. However, to host a game, players must own a copy of Operation: Tango. The game supports cross-play across all systems.
