Today’s announcement trailer is overwhelming, to say the least. It’s an unusual time capsule from a bygone ad era, with its quirky, surprising sense of humor and some amazing performances. Mimicking a VHS tape at the outset is the perfect way to prepare viewers for a very different experience from a reveal show.
While today’s footage was almost as helpful, you can watch a live, live promo for the game on the PlayStation YouTube channel as well:
It’s hard to live up to the expectations set by today’s release date-show chaos, and it’s weird and nostalgic in all the right ways. but humanity It looks quirky and creative enough, especially for a VR game. Exploring this world virtually is likely to lead to surrealism and better developments.
Also, adding community creations will give this game legs. The fluid tone and systems in place should inspire players to develop and navigate quirky puzzles and support each other.
The campaign itself will have more than 90 stages to complete, which is quite impressive. Somehow, humanity At the same time it feels like a lost PlayStation classic and one of the most ambitious puzzle games to date. Despite all the elaborate content and mechanics, it maintains an indie stance, including subtle visuals and symbolism.
Even casual fans will likely be charmed by today’s trailer, so hopefully PlayStation will invest more in a bold announcement like this one.
