Price hikes and new tiers are coming to Xbox Game Pass

Starting today, Xbox Game Pass is experiencing some changes, which include a redefinition of some tiers. And later this year, there will be a handful of price hikes to varying degrees. Here is the exact text presented Microsoft’s website.

The new Xbox Game Pass standard tier for new members is $15 per month and does not include access to Day One releases, EA Play, Game Pass for PC, and cloud gaming.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which now includes access to all the bonuses not included in the standard tier, is increasing its price from $17 to $20 per month.

Xbox Game Pass offers core, online access and a smaller library of curated games, changing from $60 to $75 annually. That tier’s $10 monthly price will remain unchanged.

PC Game Pass is increasing from $10 to $12 per month, but that tier still includes Day One releases.

All these price changes will be effective from September 12.

Price changes for services you already pay for are always disappointing. What do you think about the change? Do you plan to maintain your subscription? Or is it time to cancel?
