PUBG: Battlegrounds Patch 23.1 introduces a new map rotation system, a new ranking season, and more

The latest patch for PUBG: BattlegroundsAnd Update 23.1, due to be released the following week. This update will include the addition of the Deston map to the map collection, as well as a new map rotation system, a new ranked season, several gameplay changes, and fixes to a number of previously identified issues.

Here are the exciting features, changes, and improvements available in Update 23.1:

  • The blue zone during stages 1 through 3 is now similar to the blue zone and a bit faster than before.

    • Helmets, jackets and backpacks

  • Motor Gliders added to Taego, Vikendi and Deston.

  • More vehicles will be posted publicly.
    • The spawn rate of major vehicles, such as the Four Wheelers, has been modified to make them appear more frequently among all spawned vehicles.
  • Some vehicles will spawn at fixed locations.
• Other systems such as the aircraft’s trajectory and the position of the final circle have been modified to match the taxonomic systems.

• Rewards can be found in your inventory once Season 23 has started.
• Once Season 23 is over and the server is undergoing maintenance, every reward except parachute and medal will be withdrawn from your profile edit page.

• BZ Bombs have been added to Taego and Deston.
• Folding shields have been added to all maps.
• Erangel, Miramar and Taego emergency trucks have been added.
• Motor Gliders have been added to Taego and Deston.

Play

• To increase the feel and impact of head landing, some new visual effects have been added that cause the helmet to come off on impact.
  • If a weapon is used to land a blow to the head and the helmet’s durability is reduced to 0, the helmet will be ripped off.
• The Ascender and Utility Parachute are now provided as basic equipment on every map.
  • Upward attachments and auxiliary parachute symbols that occupied their inventory slots have been removed.
  • Utility parachutes can be used at any time on each map.
  • The upward attachment can be used where the ascenders are attached.
• With utility parachutes available everywhere, the emergency parachute has been removed from Miramar and Haven.
• If the player disconnects before the plane goes down, their parachute will now automatically follow the player with the next number after their own.
  • Example: If you are player 4, you will follow player 1.
  • If you had previously selected a player to follow before disconnecting, you will continue to follow them.
  • Once you reconnect while on board, it will automatically follow the player.
  • Only players who have not fallen from the plane can be selected to continue.

Map service

Starting with patch 23.1, maps will now rotate on a weekly basis, increasing the chances of players encountering their favorite map. Here is the weekly map rotation plan for the update period:
