A radical Red Dead Redemption 2 mod brings new assassin-for-hire missions to Rockstar’s sandbox western, offering a solid and much-needed RDR2 update and something else to pass the time as Arthur Morgan while we wait for the GTA 6 release date .
Contracts Remastered brings a host of kill-based missions to Red Dead Redemption 2’s singleplayer mode, vastly updating the previous Contracts mod by adding new mechanics, dynamic mission scenarios, and theoretically infinite new missions courtesy of a random generator. .
In every major city in Red Dead Redemption 2, you can collect contracts from NPCs, at which point you’ll be provided with a photo of your unlucky mark, which is procedurally generated and drawn from the open-world game’s local population. In some cases, all you get is a photo and an approximate location, so part of this new Red Dead experience is using your observation and deduction skills to pick your target out of the crowd.
And they’re not stupid: Contracts Remastered means your targets know you’re after them, and they’ll do everything they can to try and blend in with the locals to avoid detection. It becomes an atmospheric game of cat and mouse as you try to find them without being noticed, and they struggle to remain as inconspicuous as possible.
However, other new features can give you the edge. If you need to get your target out, you can take a hostage and put a gun to their head, threatening their life unless your potential victim gets out. Greatly expanding on Red Dead Redemption 2’s single player mode, and allowing for some great canon moments, you can get Contracts Remastered from nexus mods.
