Yes! Redfall has an Online Co-Op mode where you can play up to four players, you and three friends, in the same world. Unfortunately, it will not include a Splitcreen Co-Op mode, which means to play with others, each player must be on their own system. However, it will consist of Cross-Play, allowing friends on any platform, such as PC or Xbox, to still play together.

How many players can join Co-Op in Redfall?

Redfall is a 4-player Online Co-Op experience, which means you can only invite three other players to join your game at once. This is because it is heavily focused on the story of the experience, and each player must select one of the four main characters to play as. Each character has their own skills and abilities, making them different from each other.

The teamwork aspect makes the Multiplayer mode in the game one of the best ways to play. Since each character’s skills are different, combining them together is the best way to take down vampires around the world, especially bosses. You just won’t have the same reaction when going in solo, and it could be way more challenging. Teamwork makes the dream work, as they say.

Do you share XP and Story-Progression in Redfall Co-Op?

Do you share story progression and experience when playing Redfall Co-Op? The answer is yes and no. The downfall of Redfall’s Co-Op is that all joining players are basically playing in the hosting player’s server and world. During that playthrough, all players will share XP and progress the story together when exiting and rejoining the same server. However, if one of those joining players decided to host their own story, they wouldn’t have any of the XP or progression that they made in their friend’s game.

This may take away from the game’s immersive qualities for players who value the story aspects and means that if players what to ensure they have their hard-earned rewards, they must constantly line up schedules and keep playing with the same host every time. However, this is only one minor downside to the experience and might not affect every player the same. It could give players the opportunity to restart on their own, delve into the story in more detail and perhaps experience it in a whole new light.
