The new visual identity will be followed by a broader Riot Games brand redesign that will be rolled out across all assets during 2022.

Riot Games’ new press website will host both corporate news and information, as well as updates on the developer’s range of titles.

The new logo itself is very similar to the previous one, with the most notable change being its font. This is the developer’s second logo change in three years Riot made substantial changes to the original logo in 2019.

Riot Games explained the thinking behind the redesign in a release: “As Riot enters its second decade, we felt the timing was right to update and expand the Riot Games visual system to set us up for success long-term.

“The change to the logo was an output of building a more cohesive visual system including the creation of additional unique assets (like typography) that will help players recognise us more easily where we show up. “

Over the last few months, Riot Games has announced a range of major announcements for its games. The company provided an update on its upcoming yet-to-be-named fighting game project. Moreover, Riot Games revealed updates to both its Wild Rift and VALORANT competitive ecosystems.

Esports Insider says: Riot Games’ new logo is not all that different from the old version. Importantly, it keeps the fist icon that was part of Riot’s identity since the first days of the company. The new logo will be followed by a rebranding effort that is set to take place in 2022, but it is still unclear whether the rebranding will affect the existing logos of Riot IP’s.
