In The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, you will have to make various decisions at different points in the game. These decisions allow you to answer from the perspective of both Gollum and Smeagol, making each choice unique. After completing a few objectives in Chapter 2 you will come across the Creul Orc, and I was surprised when this character approached me for my hard-earned bread. You will be presented with three choices at this point in the narrative, and here’s which answer you should pick in The Lord of the Rings: Gollum.

Which option to choose Threaten, Beg, or Give Bread in The Lord of the Rings: Gollum?

During Chapter 2, you will be trapped in a prison where you will meet a couple of cellmates. Here you will come across the Cruel Orc and the Frail Man. You can interact with both of them, but their roles will be explored as you progress through the story. The Frail Man helps you through most of the objectives in Chapter 2. After detonating the barrels in the tunnels, you’ll visit the Mine Orc who gives you a piece of bread. Soon after, a new objective starts where you need to return to your cell. This is where Gollum encounters the Cruel Orc who demands the bread. You will be presented with three decision choices at this point. Here are the choices you will get against the Creul Orc.

  • Threaten
    • If you choose to threaten the Orc as Gollum, a fight ensues where the Orc knocks you down, and you wake up a few days later.
  • Beg
    • Select the Beg option to plead with the Orc as Smeagol. The Creul Orc doesn’t listen and strikes you down, and you wake up a few days later.
  • Give Bread
    • Sharing your Bread with the Creul Orc is the most plausible choice in this scenario. The Orc says ‘Look the Little Goblin shares’, and your character continues work after a few days.

While your decision doesn’t seem to change the outcome at this point in the story, it allows you to interact with characters from both Gollum’s and Smeagol’s perspectives. Keep in mind that you can replay these choices by restarting the chapter once again.
