While perhaps not quite as polished as it appeared on other platforms, Sifu’s Switch debut really knew how to dish out the hits when it arrived on console earlier this month. Thankfully, Sloclap isn’t pulling any punches to keep the game up to scratch, having announced that the Fall Title Update is coming in December.
Based on the team’s announcement tweet (which doesn’t specify any consoles at this time, so we’re assuming Switch’s inclusion), it looks like the biggest addon coming to the game will be the addition of the replay editor. Sifu’s combat is fluid – real smooth, and this new tool is looking to help us make those clips more cinematic. Like Park Chan-wook himself on the set of older boyyou will be able to follow the hero through the corridors with your camera, focusing on certain hits and backtracking on others – cinema!
Of course, we’ve come to expect more from updates these days and it seems like Sloclap is eager to deliver. While nothing else has been officially announced at this time, the studio responded to a tweet asking if the title update would add skins to the game with a message of affirmation, promising more news to come.
The ability to get different skins is something that has been available for other consoles for a few months now, so we figured it would only be a matter of time before Switch followed. costume (pun intended). The question of which skins will be added remains a mystery for now, but surely it’s only a matter of time before we find out.
The Fall Title Update will be out next month. With a season name like that, we can expect the update to arrive in early December before winter really sets in, though we’re sure there will be a more specific date announcement in the coming weeks.
