Capcom recently revealed plans to host an open beta test for the highly anticipated Street Fighter 6 from May 19th at 12:00 AM PST / 3:00 AM PST until May 22nd at 00:00 AM PST / 3 :00 am Pacific time. Open beta testing will be available across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC platforms.

The open beta will include the same content as the second closed beta test that took place in December 2022. This means that players will have access to eight playable characters, including favorites like Chun-Li, Ryu, and Guile, as well as newcomers Jamie and kimberly. The open beta will also include a variety of game modes, such as Ranked Match, Casual Match, Battle Hub Match, Open Tournament, Extreme Battle, Game Center, and Training Mode.

Avatar creation will be available during the beta, allowing players to customize the appearance of the Battle Hub in-game. However, saving or loading avatar recipes and remaking avatars will not be possible during the trial period.

Open beta testing will also support cross-platform play and provide a choice between modern and classic control types. Commentaries will be provided by play-by-play commentators Vicious, Tasty Steve, Aru, and Kosuke Hiraiwa, as well as color commentators James Chen and Demon Kakka. Other available features include the Capcom Fighters Network (CFN), online match fight request functionality, battle tutorials, battle settings, and photo mode.

During beta testing, players can participate in the following activities: Battle Hub Match, where they can participate in matches with other players, Extreme Battle, where rules and tricks change daily, and Game Center, which features single player content that is updated daily. Tournaments will also be held periodically, and players can complete various challenges to get rewards in the form of driving tickets. The Hub Goods Shop will allow players to use Fighter Coins and Driver Tickets to get gear for their avatar.

Street Fighter 6 is set to release on June 2 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam. Don’t miss out on this exciting open beta test, which provides a great opportunity to get a glimpse of the game before it’s officially released.
