Tchia surpassed 1 million players within its first six weeks

Awaceb reports that the open-world island adventure game Tchia has garnered more than 1 million players in just six weeks after its release on PlayStation and PC. The game received critical acclaim upon release, and to celebrate the milestone, Awaceb has released a promotional trailer for the awards and opening pre-orders for a new physical version of the game for PlayStation 4 and PS5, set for release on July 18th.

In collaboration with Maximum Games, Awaceb offers a physical version of Tchia for PS4 and PS5, called the Oléti Edition. This version includes a cosmetic pack containing items and designs inspired by the Kepler Interactive family of games, such as Sifu and Scorn, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, and Cat Quest. Players can customize Tchia’s boat, ukulele, glider, and outfit with these exclusive items. Oléti’s physical edition is now available for pre-order from select retailers.

The game’s heroine, a young adventurer named Tchia, embarks on a journey to rescue her father from the clutches of the oppressive ruler of the archipelago, Mifora. To defeat Meavora’s mindless minions, known as Maano, players must use their creativity, along with mystical tools such as a leaping spirit and a magical harp. The game immerses players in a world inspired by the small island country of New Caledonia, showcasing its unique features, biomes, and distinct culture of its inhabitants.

It was Tchia Critics praised it With its charming, physics-based sandbox gameplay that encourages exploration and evokes a sense of childlike wonder. The game provides players with a breathtaking glimpse into a part of the world that many have not seen before.

Currently, Tchia is available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
