[ad_1]

A new patch is now available for The Last of Us Part 1, which addresses several issues and provides improvements for PC players. The update includes improvements to frame rate, texture, graphical fidelity, and crash fixes. Additional CPU optimization, frame rate, and texture fidelity improvements will be introduced in future updates.

The patch optimizes CPU and GPU usage throughout the game and improves texture accuracy and resolution at low and medium game settings. Graphical fidelity has also been improved, especially on watery surfaces at the Low graphics preset. The update fixes several crashes, including those during build shaders, exiting the main menu, and dying after combat.

Players will now have shorter waiting times when loading into the game for the first time. The HUD menu now features an option for players to simultaneously lock and unlock performance stats. To provide greater clarity, graphics menus now include descriptions of when certain settings may affect other settings.

The patch also introduces the Texture Streaming Rate setting and fixes issues with scenes skipping during critical loads and shader loading warnings not appearing during game restarts. In addition, the VRAM bar has been updated for better accuracy in displaying OS+ Apps usage, and issues with locked settings being read by a screen reader have been fixed.

Keyboard and mouse users will experience improved camera sensitivity when aiming down, and improved handling of commands assigned to the same keybind. Translations of multiple menu options for different languages have been corrected, and Ultrawide displays now have an arc-corrected Rangefinder reticle position.

For AMD users, the patch fixes a crash that could occur on CPUs with limited affinity on X3D cores and an issue with textures rendering incorrectly on AMD GPUs. Steam users will no longer experience the “It Can’t Be for Nothing” achievement that hasn’t been fired even though they have all other achievements. Steam Deck users will find that resetting the display settings to default now properly enables AMD FSR 2.
