Ubisoft posts Beyond Good & Evil – 20th Anniversary Edition tweet with June release date, then deletes it

Last year, the Xbox Store listing for Beyond Good & Evil – 20th Anniversary Edition accidentally went live, with Ubisoft later saying it went up early due to a “technical error”. Now, in another technical glitch of sorts, Ubisoft may have accidentally revealed that Beyond Good & Evil – the 20th Anniversary Edition – will launch on June 25.

Earlier today, the official Ubisoft X (formerly Twitter) account posted a trailer for the game, which runs for about two minutes and features remastered visuals and a performance look at the game, along with the following text: “You’ll be able to do it in Beyond the 20th Anniversary Edition coming June 25th. Relive Jade’s adventures in Good and Evil.” That post is no longer available as Ubisoft deleted it. Nevertheless, June 25 is next Tuesday so this beloved classic will be coming to PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and PC in just a few days.

Although Ubisoft deleted the post, some X users were able to grab the trailer and you can check it out below:

As you can see, the game will feature 4K/60 FPS resolution and performance, an art gallery, and other features, and it will be out on June 25 “on all platforms.” Ubisoft hasn’t commented on the deleted tweet, but the game is, in fact, coming out next week, so we’ll know more about it soon.

Strangely, amid Ubisoft’s silence on the deleted announcement, Limited Run Games has announced that it will publish a physical version of Beyond Good & Evil – 20th Anniversary Edition on July 12 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and Switch.
