Britain’s Jack Draper reached the second week of a Grand Slam for the first time
after beating American Michael Mmoh in the third round of the US Open.
The British No 4 silenced the home crowd with a gritty display in a 6-4 6-2 3-6 6-3 victory on Grandstand.
“I’m proud of the way I came through,” said Draper. “Last year was really difficult because I injured myself on this court. It’s been a tough year so I’m happy to come through.
“What a place to do it as well.”
Draper will play the winner of the match between eighth seed Andrey Rublev and Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech.
