Three current and former San Diego State football players, including Matt Araiza, are named in a lawsuit.

The lawsuit accuses them of taking part in the gang rape of a minor.

Three current and former San Diego State football players, including Matt Araiza, are named in a lawsuit.

The alleged event took place at a party at Araiza's off-campus home in October, when he was a redshirt junior at SDSU.

After the season, he was named the best college punter in the country and won the Ray Guy award.

He then entered the draft and was picked by the Bills in the sixth round.

The Los Angeles Times says that the district attorney's office in San Diego County is deciding whether or not to file charges based on new information from detectives.

No arrests have been made.

According to a timeline on its website, the university started its own investigation in July.

SDSU said that it found out about the sexual assault claims soon after the party.

However, the San Diego Police Department asked campus officials to wait to start an investigation.
