Joe E. Tata, actor who played Nat on 'Beverly Hills, 9010,' dead at 85

Tata died Thursday morning in a care facility in Southern California, said Richard W. Sharpe, who was appointed by the court to be the actor's guardian.

Sharpe did not say why Tata died, but he did say that Tata had been sick for a long time and was getting worse.

In 2018, Tata was told he had Alzheimer's disease.

His daughter Kelly said that his health shifted after his last role on "Mystery Girls" on ABC in 2014.

She said that Tata was put under a conservatorship in 2019 because his daughter had to deal with her health problems.

She had to move out because he "unwittingly signed documents" that put him into the legal arrangement.

She said that he said he agreed to the guardianship "under duress."
