Newcastle vs. Man City result

Manchester City's comeback in the second half was started by Erling Haaland.

Newcastle and Pep Guardiola's team battled to a thrilling 3-3 draw at St. James' Park.

Early in the second half, against the champions, Newcastle took a well-deserved 3-1 lead thanks to a brilliant free kick from Kieran Trippier.

After that, Newcastle quickly grabbed control, with goals from Miguel Almiron and Callum Wilson thanks to the unstoppable Allan Saint-Maximin.

The winger was then sent falling just beyond the area by John Stones, and Trippier finished the job.

Although Bernardo Silva intercepted Kevin De Bruyne's ball and Haaland pounced on Rodri's knockdown in the 60th minute to regain parity.

Goals:
MCI — Ilkay Gundogan (Bernardo Silva) — 5th min.
NEW — Miguel Almiron (Allan Saint-Maximin) — 28th min.
NEW — Callum Wilson (Allan Saint-Maximin) — 39th min.
NEW — Kieran Trippier — 54th min.
MCI — Erling Haaland (Rodri) — 60th min.
MCI — Bernardo Silva (Kevin De Bruyne) — 64th

Silva was starting for the first time this year.

He made a cross from the right side, allowing Gundogan to score twice in as many games.

By the time Nick Pope made the first of many excellent saves to stop De Bruyne with his boots, it appeared as though City would easily win the game.
