Honkai Star Rail Tingyun Farming Guide

[ad_1]

If you are lucky enough to have this Honkai: Star Rail four-star character, yippee for you. I, thus far, have been unlucky. Tingyun is considered to be one of the best four-star characters sue to her significant capability in buffing other members of her teams. I’m getting prepped to gather her materials now. That way, when I do draw her from the Gacha, I can build and use her as soon as possible. If you want to do the same, here is what you will need.

Tingyun’s Common Trace Materials in Honkai Star Rail

Tingyun uses Ambrosial Arbor pieces that are commonly dropped by Mara-struck Soldiers on the Xianzhou Luofu. She’ll need these materials to raise her character level, her skill levels, and unlock her Traces. To fully unlock all of them she will need:

  • 40 Immortal Scionettes
  • 55 Immortal Aeroblossoms
  • 51 Immortal Lumintwigs

The best way to obtain these materials is to fight enemies found in the Cloudford or the Stargazer Navalia Regions on the Xianzhou Luofu. The higher the level of enemies you are fighting, the more materials of higher rarity they will drop. You can also get these materials from fighting in the Simulated Universe. This game mode features randomly generated enemies, and can not be relied upon to always drop these materials.

You can also obtain these materials passively by completing the Root out the Turpitude assignment. Use characters of The Hunt path on this assignment to gain extra materials.

Tingyun’s Path Material in Honkai Star Rail

Tingyun is a Harmony character, so she needs Music Box Path Materials farmed from the Bud of Harmony Crimson Calyx. You will need to spend at least 10 Trailblaze Power to obtain these materials. The higher of level of challenge you complete, the more items you will receive for Trailblaze power spent.

Tingyun uses these materials to raise her skill levels and unlock Traces. You’ll need this many materials to fully ascend her skills:

  • 12 Harmonic Tunes
  • 54 Ancestral Hymns
  • 99 Stellaris Symphonies

She does not need this material to ascend as a character, but keep in mind more of these materials will also be needed to ascend any Light Cone she would use. The number of materials you will need will vary with the rarity of the Light Cone.

Tingyun’s Character Ascension Material, Advanced Trace Material and Tracks of Destiny in Honkai Star Rail

For Tingyun’s Character Ascension material, you’ll need to farm the Shape of Fulmination Stagnant Shadow challenge. She’ll need 50 Lightning Crowns of the Past Shadow to fully ascend. Again, keep in mind that challenging the Stagnant Shadow fight on the highest difficulty possible will award you more Character Ascension Materials for Trailblaze Power spent.

Tingyun uses the Destroyer’s Final Road Advanced Trace Material. It can only be obtained from the Echo of War: Destruction’s Beginning. These challenges can only be taken on three times per week. Tingyun will need nine Destroyer’s Final Roads to fully ascend her skills, as well as three more to unlock her Bonus abilities, for a total of 12.

All characters need 5 Tracks of Destiny to fully ascend her skill and unlock her last two Bonus Abilities. These materials are almost equivalent to Crowns of Insight from Genshin Impact, although they are mercifully easier to obtain. You can obtain them as a Limited Time Event Reward, but you can also farm them weekly by completing the Simulated Universe, or win them as a reward from the free version of the Nameless Honor Battle Pass. If you purchase the Nameless Glory Battle Pass, you will be able to obtain more Tracks of Destiny per version update.

How many Credits are needed to fully ascend Tingyun in Honkai Star Rail?

You won’t be able to upgrade anything without spending a little bit of Credits each time. To fully ascend any character’s level, skills and unlock all of their Traces, you’ll be spending a mind-blowing 3,098,200 Credits. I can’t even imagine having that many credits all at once, but who knows maybe a year or two in and I’ll have that much saved back, too.

If you need more Credits, the best quickest way would be to farm them from the Bud of Treasures Golden Calyx, though this will cost Trailblaze Power. You can also obtain Credits from completing assignments and missions, opening Treasure Chests, or attacking destructible objects that refresh daily.
