Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.6 Update 'Crown of the Mundane and Divine' Releases on December 27

Updating version 1.6 for Honkai: star laneDubbed “Crown of the Mundane and Divine,” it will launch on December 27, developer miHoYo announced.

The next update will reveal a new area: the Herta Space Station Detention Zone, previously inaccessible until Madame Ruan Mei, one of the members of the Genius Society, began her groundbreaking biological science experiments within its boundaries. Accompanying this expansion are new playable characters: Madam Ruan Mei, Dr. Ratio and Xueyi, along with the reunion of two old friends, Blade and Kafka. More importantly, once the version 1.6 “Panta Rhei” event begins, every pioneer who has unlocked the mail feature will receive a limited five-star character, Dr. Ratio.

After helping with the paranormal crisis at Fyxestroll Garden, the Trailblazer will return to the Herta Space Station and meet Madame Ruan Mei for the first time. In the process of cultivating clones, Madam Ruan Mei encountered a certain anomaly, which appeared in the form of a Swarm King prototype and a ferocious Swarm Disaster entity. Due to an incident during the experiment, this “old pit planet crater” emerged in the isolation zone of the Herta space station, where the Trailblazer will be trapped in a tough fight.

Additionally, version 1.6 will include a new Simulated Universe DLC: Gold and Gears, where Ruan Mei has developed a simulated Nous and a space-time frozen just before the disappearance of member 27: Emperor Rubert. This latest update adds the Path of Scholarship and boldly experiments with separating dice from paths. The dice come with six slots to equip various Dice Face effects. By collecting Trailblaze Secrets, Trailblazer can unlock even more Dice Face effects while facing different challenges.

To accelerate research developments aboard the space station, Trailblazer has been entrusted with a vital mission: to foster and care for the newly arrived cute little life forms. Through the Critter Pick Scavenging event, the Trailblazer can select the breeding objectives described in the manual and acquire farming techniques to raise a variety of charming little creatures. Additionally, version 1.6 will introduce numerous improvements to the game, including the addition of Pure Fiction, additional stages in Forgotten Hall, and several other user-friendly updates.

Three new characters will join the player’s roster to facilitate the great space expedition, including Madam Ruan Mei, Dr. Ratio, and Xueyi. To start, Madam Ruan Mei is a 5-star ice-type character who follows the Path of Harmony and the 81st member of the Genius Society. From the beginning, his research has focused on the biological sciences. Despite being one of the founders of the Simulated Universe, she rarely steps forward. Her ability, Strings Sing in Slow Twirls, can increase the damage and efficiency of Weakness Break of all allies. Ruan Mei has a knack for exploiting an enemy’s weaknesses and great support for the breaking effect exerted by allies.

Another academic named Dr. Ratio will also make his debut. He is a 5-star imaginary type character who follows the Path of the Hunt and belongs to a different organization that worships Nous: the Intelligentsia Guild. As a rigorous academic researcher, Dr. Ratio pays close attention to his enemies’ disadvantages during battle. The more debuffs the enemy has, the greater the chances of him launching a follow-up attack.

The last new character is Xueyi, a 4-star quantum-type character following the Path of Destruction, whose original body was long ago replaced by a permanent puppet system. This system was built for Xueyi on behalf of the Ten Lords Commission. The Commission agreed that for every culprit Xueyi apprehended, she would be rewarded with half a day’s vigil. Like her sister Hanya, Xueyi has a formidable presence on the battlefield. Her ultimate ability, Divine Smite, can deal quantum damage to a single target and reduce toughness that ignores weakness types. The more the toughness is depleted, the greater the damage!

Honkai: star lane is now available for PlayStation 5, PC via client download and epic games storeiOS via App Storeand Android via Google Play. A version for PlayStation 4 is also planned.
