Loot River is coming to PS5 and PS4 on December 19 along with the ‘Level Editor’ update

Publisher SUPERHOT PRESENTS and developer straka.studio to release dungeon crawling action roguelike Booty River for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on December 19 along with a free update for all platforms that adds a level editor, improved loading times and more, the companies announced.

Booty River first released for Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on May 3. It is also available through Xbox Game Pass.

“We are very excited to bring Booty River to PlayStation on December 19 and see what players do with our level editor on all platforms,” he said Booty River creative director Miro Straka in a press release. “Thank you to everyone who has supported the game so far and continues to do so as we have made improvements since the game’s original release. With this PlayStation release and the updates coming to all platforms, Loot River will be better than ever.”

Booty River is receiving a number of updates on PlayStation, Xbox and PC, including a new level editor that will allow players to create, play and share custom levels with cross-platform support.

Along with the new level editor, players can also expect loading times reduced by more than 50 percent, improved frame rates, and other general improvements. The PlayStation version of the game will also feature haptic vibration support and the ability to jump into the Daily Run directly from the PlayStation system’s user interface through the PlayStation Activities system. These updates build on improvements made since the game’s launch on Xbox and PC, including the addition of leaderboards, daily races, new enemies and items, and an easy mode with animation cancellation.

In Booty River, players can harness the power of the Relic to move the ground beneath them, gliding over floating pieces of ruined landscapes. These Tetris-like blocks can be put together to solve space exploration puzzles and used creatively as a combat tool to manipulate enemies and control the space in which battles take place. As players venture through these endless catacombs, they will encounter hideous beasts, lost travelers, and epic bosses.
