Publisher Humble Games and developer Adam Kareem have announced that the 3D action platformer, Protodroid DeLTA, has a new release date. Originally set for release on April 27, the game is now set to release on May 25 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and computer via Steam And a humble shop.
Protodroid DeLTA unfolds in a beautifully designed world filled with solar energy. This vibrant vision of Earth’s future is where you’ll meet a colorful cast of characters and take on challenging bosses. As a player, you will step into the shoes of DeLTA, a highly advanced android system created by world-famous roboticist Dr. Chilton.
DeLTA is one of the first Protodroids with near-human intelligence, designed to demonstrate the potential of artificial intelligence. This groundbreaking robot was created to be “The Change”, to show the world what artificial intelligence can become, and to prove that it is more than just a “robot”.
Things take a turn when Dr. Chilton’s lab is attacked by a gang of Vypers. To protect DeLTA, the Doctor enables combat sub-actions and outfits her with weapon systems. After successfully fending off the attackers, DeLTA is given a new mission: to defend the area against the growing Vyper threat, earn the city’s trust, and show the world the true promise of artificial intelligence.
Protodroid DeLTA promises to deliver a dynamic 3D action platformer, allowing players to take advantage of DeLTA’s exceptional agility and signature weapons to get through challenging stages. The gameplay is inspired by classic 2D games such as Mega Man X, which aims to offer a fast and smooth experience in a 3D environment.
The Solarpunk game world presents a hopeful, if imperfect, vision of a future where solar energy is the primary energy source, and humanity and technology coexist harmoniously with nature.
In Protodroid DeLTA, players are free to choose the order in which they tackle stages, fight bosses, and claim unique weapons. The game features vibrant characters, each with their own background and role in the narrative. Players can also search for hidden upgrades and power-ups to enhance DeLTA’s abilities, and locate fellow Protodroid AnnDROID on each stage to learn new blade techniques.
