Puzzle adventure indie Planet of Lana sets May release date

Planet Lanais a sci-fi puzzle adventure from Wishfully and Thunderful Publishing, to be officially launched on May 23, 2023. It will feature sprawling, stealth, and challenging narrative puzzles.

Planet Lana It will be available on PC via Steam and current or recent Xbox consoles. At the moment, there is no information about support or plans for other platforms. You can see the release date announcement today on the official Thunder games YouTube channel:

Planet Lana It was originally expected to launch last year, but was eventually pushed back to August 2022, vaguely citing the need to ensure it “lives up to the vision” that was set forth. But the wait will clearly be worthwhile, because today’s trailer is just as charming as the previous trailer.

The hand-drawn visuals and sheer creativity will be more than enough to win over fans of the sci-fi and puzzle genres. Each scene features accurate lighting, framing, and a high level of detail. There is a distinct sense of emotion that the project is pouring into Planet Lana.

The developers have also carefully balanced their epic story by keeping the hero’s company front and center, so that anything deep feels honest and earned.

Basic mechanics in Planet Lana Puzzles include the Mui-like cat, which players will need to work with in order to progress. This creates a natural bond, though it also helps that moai are adorable, too.

Coordinating two characters in this way should allow the puzzles to become quite complex, and the game never seems to stray from difficulty. With the addition of unpredictable and stealthy enemies, players probably wouldn’t expect something so relaxing, despite the picturesque and exhilarating world.
