Trace Memory and its Wii sequel never hit states that come to switch on another code: Reminiscence.

Another Code: Two Memories, or Trace Memory as it is known in North America, is a Nintendo DS game that debuted on the handheld device in 2005. Its sequel, Another Code: R – Journey Into Lost Memories, debuted in Wii in 2009, but never made it to North America. Now, players can experience both games when Another Code: Remembrance hits the Switch in January.

Another Code: Reminiscence is an enhanced collection of trace memory and Another Code: R is launching on January 19, 2024 on Switch. During today’s Nintendo Direct, Nintendo is showcasing this collection of games with a new trailer showing enhanced scenes as protagonist Ashley, travels to remote Blood Edward Island in search of her father.

After Ashley receives a letter from her father, believing her to be dead, a chain of past mysteries and visions sends her to Blood Edward Island. There, Ashley must investigate her surroundings while solving puzzles to uncover the truth. Another code: R completes Ashley’s story. In it, she travels to Lake Juliet two years after the events of Trace Memory to uncover the hidden truth surrounding her mother.

“This collection features fully enhanced versions of both original games, featuring overhauled visuals, fully explorable environments, new voice acting, puzzles, music and more,” reads Nintendo’s description of the game. “Added optional hint and navigation systems to help players new to adventure games.”

Another code: Souvenir costs $59.99 and launches on January 19, 2024 on Switch.
