Assassin’s Creed ShadowsBuilt from the ground up in the latest version of Anvil, it will be optimized for Intel’s performance hybrid core architecture, ensuring the best experience occurs on 14th Gen Intel Core processors.

The Gameplay Walkthrough mission shown at the conference takes place in the castle town of Fukuchiyama in Tamba Province, where Naoe and Yasuke are hunting a corrupt daimyo. The gameplay illustrates the complementary dynamic between the two playable heroes: Naoe, the agile and stealthy Shinobi, and Yasuke, the combat-focused samurai. Fighting on opposite sides at the start of the game, you will unite around common goals. As we usher in a new era for Japan, players will be able to switch characters at any time in the open world and make use of their unique combination of skills and weapons to navigate situations and take on various enemies in different ways.

  • Naoe embodies the essence of a Shinobi Assassin. From a versatile grappling hook that allows for stealthy mid-air kills and increased mobility, to kunai and his custom hidden blade for quick takedowns, he has access to a diverse arsenal of tools to attack from the shadows. While he is most vulnerable in close combat, he can deflect, dodge enemy attacks and retaliate with lethal precision, using light, his environment and the structures around him to take down his enemies.
  • Yasuke is designed for direct confrontations, relying on his exceptional combat skills and mastery of samurai weaponry. Whether wielding the Katana for decisive attacks, opting for raw power with the Kanabo, or attacking his opponents from a distance with a deadly flintlock rifle called the Teppo, he can take on multiple enemies at once.

Additionally, players can take advantage of a new scanning feature called “Spy Network.” Naoe and Yasuke can send their spies to scout locations to discover useful information about target locations, habits, and other secrets of the world.
