The Game Awards 2023 is a massive night for games with over 30 announcements, premieres and more. Developer Laurion Studios ended up taking home the Game of the Year award for its critically acclaimed RPG, Baldur’s Gate 3. Shortly after the win, Larian’s game is now available on Xbox Series X/S, meaning it’s finally playable on PlayStation. 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is directed by Sven Vinke He tweeted, “I had a job and it was to announce that if we won the award – I’m sorry but it’s out,” meaning it could have been an on-stage announcement. Nevertheless, everyone was happy Winke and the team took extra time to praise its team of developers and thank fans for the welcome during the Game of the Year award acceptance speech.
