Outward: Definitive Edition coming to Switch in 2024

Publisher PLAION and Developer Nine Dots Studio to Release Open-World Fantasy RPG Outward: Definitive Edition for Switch in 2024, the companies announced. It will be ported by SneakyBox.

“Coming to Switch was always a dream for us,” Nine Dots Studio CEO and Creative Director Guillaume Boucher-Vidal said in a press release. “I’ll be quite honest, I had my doubts that a Switch version would be possible.

The Sneaky Box team really pulled a rabbit out of a hat with this port. “I’m happy that there will be one more way to play our game, and with devices like the Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch, it’s only fitting that our game is now travel-friendly.”

Outward: Definitive Edition first released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam, epic games storeand GOGO on May 17, 2022. The original Abroad released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on March 26, 2019.

Abroad is a role-playing game set in the world of Aurai in which you take on the role of an ordinary adventurer fending off threatening creatures, braving dangerous environmental conditions, and staying healthy and hydrated.

Your journey will take you through cities and dangerous hidden dungeons filled with formidable enemies as you travel through the wilderness.

The Definitive Edition contains the base game, along with two downloadable content, “Three Brothers” and “The Soroboreans.”
