The popular mobile game Pokémon GO is set to release an all-new event called A Valorous Hero, focusing on boosting and battling Pokémon. The event will run from Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 10:00 AM to Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 8:00 PM local time. Valor Candela might be a great trainer, but she needs some research support, and that’s where players come in.
During the event, Mega Pinsir will make its Pokémon GO debut in Mega Raids, giving players the chance to catch this powerful creature normally or shiny. Additionally, for the first time in Pokémon GO, players may encounter Shiny Tapu Fini in raids if they’re lucky.
The event will also include various rewards, including Double Candy for catching Pokémon. Trainers of level 31 and above will have a double chance to get Candy XL when catching Pokemon, providing an extra incentive for higher-level players.
The Valorous Hero event will include a variety of Pokémon appearing in 1-star, 3-star and 5-star raids. One-star raids will include Hisuian Growlithe, Galarian Ponyta, and Hoothoot. Three-star raids will feature Galarian Stunfisk, Druddigon, Hisuian Braviary, and Hisuian Avalugg. Five-star Raids will offer Tapu Fini, while Mega Pinsir will headline Mega Raids.
A special quest story, A Valorous Hero, featuring Valor Candela, will be available. Trainers who complete the quest will be rewarded with a meeting with Ponyta wearing a Candela themed accessory. This will be the only chance to meet Ponyta with this accessory during the event.
Throughout the event, timed quests will be available, offering rewards like Fast TM and Charged TM upon completion. Event-themed field research missions will also be accessed, giving players Stardust, Revives, Hyper Potions, and a Ponyta encounter.
As a reminder, the free special quest called An Everyday Hero will be available to Trainers during Season X: The Rising Champions. Players can help Professor Willow discover surprises by participating in this quest. Special Researches can be claimed until the end of Season X: Rising Champions on June 1, 2023 at 10:00 AM local time.
