The next Pokémon Go Community Day on Sunday, May 21, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time, will focus on Fennekin, a Fox Pokémon. Throughout the event, Fennekin will be encountered frequently in the wild, and lucky trainers might spot a shiny copy.

During the event, trainers who upgrade Braixen, Fennekin’s evolving form, to Delphox will be rewarded with a Charged Attack, Blast Burn. This powerful move has a power of 110 in Trainer Battles, Gyms, and Raids. In addition, starting at the start of the event, Delphox will have the ability to learn Charged Attack Mystical Fire, which has 60 strength and reduces opponent’s attack in boss fights.

Community Day in May 2023 will also feature a special “Fur and Flames” research story for coaches who purchase a ticket for $1.00. Special Research Story Tickets will be published soon, and Trainers can gift them to Great Friends or above.

During the event, Trainers will benefit from various rewards, such as 3 x Stardust and 2 x Candy for catching Pokémon, and 2 x chance for Trainers of level 31 and above to receive Candy XL. Lure and Incense units activated during the event will last for three hours, and trainers can enjoy a surprise shot at Community Day.

Furthermore, trading will require 50% less than Stardust and allows one additional special trade during the event, up to a maximum of two. These rewards will be valid from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM local time.

After Community Day, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM local time, Coaches can participate in unique four-star Raid Battles featuring Braixen. These raids can be accessed with Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes, but remote raid passes cannot be used. After successfully completing a four-star Raid Battle, more Fennekin will appear around the gym for 30 minutes, with one Shiny encounter possible.

Community Day-themed field research in May will provide coaches with additional encounters in Funken, Stardust, Ultra Balls, and more. Finally, event-themed stickers can be obtained by spinning PokéStops, opening gifts, and purchasing them from the in-game shop.
