In a surprising turn of events, the trailer for the upcoming Five Nights at Freddy’s (FNAF) movie has been leaked online. The trailer was posted in two parts to Twitter by user @zazaranhoz, who apparently gained access to the footage through a poll. Despite being covered in tags due to what was likely a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), the trailer can still be viewed online, giving fans an early glimpse of the movie.

The Five Nights at Freddy’s, based on the popular video game franchise created and developed by Scott Cawthon, is an American supernatural horror film directed by Emma Tammy. The screenplay was co-written by Tammy Cawthon and Seth Kodback. The film features an ensemble cast, including Josh Hutcherson, Matthew Lillard, Mary Stuart Masterson, Pepper Rubio, Kat Conner Sterling, and Elizabeth Lail.

The film was initially announced in April 2015, and was to be produced by Warner Bros. Pictures. Pictures, with Gil Kenan being used to direct and co-write the script. However, after several production delays, Warner Bros. decided to make the cut. Eventually the project was put into a state of disrepair, and Keenan was no longer involved. In March 2017, it was revealed that Blumhouse Productions would handle production of the film. Chris Columbus was set to write and direct the film in February 2018 but later left the project. Emma Tammy will replace Columbus as director and co-writer in October 2022.

Principal photography for FNAF began in February 2023 in New Orleans, and concluded on April 3 of the same year. The film is scheduled to be released in theaters and on the Peacock streaming platform in the United States on October 27, 2023, through Universal Pictures.
