If you’re planning on smuggling contraband or performing some suspicious activities regularly in Starfield, you’re definitely going to want to know how to clear your crime bounty as soon as possible to avoid getting arrested or thrown in jail. If you have the credits to spend, there are a few locations you can go to get rid of your bounty while avoiding the law. Keep reading below for all the details!

How to clear UC Bounty in Starfield

You can clear off your bounty by heading to any of the Self-Service Bounty Clearance Kiosks. These are usually found in different bars or lounges around the Settled Systems, and they will clear your bounty for some credits, allowing you to avoid getting arrested or doing jail time instead.

Opening a Self-Service Bounty Clearance Kiosk will allow you to select your current bounty from any of the factions, including the UC, and pay it off. Depending on how high your bounty is, the cost can vary. However, you cannot be currently pursued by law enforcement or in combat while trying to pay it off. This will require you to be passively wanted for a crime.

If you’re in a dire situation, looking to get rid of your bounty, you’ll most likely want to head to one of the major cities to pay it off at one of the Self-Service Bounty Kiosks. As I mentioned above, they are most commonly found in bars or lounges in the cities. One of my go-to is in The Viewport in New Atlantis, but here are a few locations you can find them:

  • New Atlantis – The Viewport
  • Akila City – The Hitching Post
  • Cydonia – Broken Spear

You can also build your very own Self-Service Bounty Clearance Kiosk in any of your outposts. Just open your outpost build menu and head to the Misc. tab. Then, you can build one in the spot of your choice with the following materials:

  • Zero Wire x2
  • Aluminum x4
  • Beryllium x2

If you’re planning on doing plenty of smuggling or conspicuous activities, you’re going to want to know where to find a Self-Service Bounty Kiosk at all times, or better yet, build your own so you can clear it at any time you need in the comfort of your own outpost.
