General tips about Wordle
If you’re hoping to get better at Wordle, we’ve got some tips for you that we hope will solve it more easily the next time you play!
- Use a good start word – Try to figure out some jump words to start your puzzles with with this multi-vowel feature that doesn’t repeat words you’ve already tried. These are traditional things like ADIEU, ACTOR, ARSON, EARNS, LEANT, OCEAN, RIOTS, etc. We have a collection of them on our Best Wordle Starter Words page.
- Watch out for duplicate messages – It’s easy to forget that you may have repeated letters in your puzzle. For example, the word “buzzy” contains a double “z”. This would not be evident from the clues given by Wordle. Just because you see a letter green in a certain place doesn’t mean it won’t work in another!
