Side-scrolling action game ninja issen will start for PC via Steam on November 23, followed by Switch in 2024 for 1,540 yen, publisher CFK and developer Asteroid-J announced.

ninja issen is a retro-style ninja platformer that features a variety of hyper-action, one-on-many battles, and dynamic boss fights. Paying homage to ninja games from the classic 8- to 16-bit eras, ninja issen It is full of ninjas, robots, neon lights and a dark atmosphere that fills the streets of the future metropolis.
You will play as Kiba, a rogue ninja who was falsely accused of murdering his clan’s grandmaster. In his desperate fight to escape from other ninjas who are trying to avenge his crime, Kiba suddenly finds himself in the middle of a world he has never seen.
The game
In ninja issen, you will always find one-versus-many battles in which you must use everything to survive. Enemies come in many types and designs, they are numerous and ready to attack wherever you go.
Fortunately, Kiba is an experienced and skilled ninja who can overcome the dangers presented to him. He uses Kiba’s weapons and skills to take down onrushing enemies and explores the future metropolis.
- Katana – Kiba’s main weapon that is very effective in close combat.
- shuriken – Used for long-range attacks and to deflect enemy projectiles.
- Teleport – Kiba can teleport by throwing his katana to the place he wants to reach. Use it to jump between tall structures and through traps like a professional ninja.

Boss battles
Each stage will have a boss that features unique patterns and tricks. As Kiba, you’ll have to figure out how to withstand his menacing attacks and ultimately achieve victory.
Sometimes the battle moves to Phase 2 when the boss’s HP reaches below a certain point. In Phase 2, the boss will display new, fiercer attack patterns. Destroying pieces can also change the boss pattern.
